There are a wide range of blankets on the market today. The most common ones are wool, cotton, poly cotton blend and fleece. There are also a number of luxury blankets available and they are silk, cashmere and chenille. We learned quite a lot about wool blankets in my last article. Now I will explain the composition of other blankets available in the marketplace today and help you in your search for a blanket or blankets that will satisfy all your bedroom needs.
Chenille blankets are made from rayon, cotton, acrylic and a number of other materials. Chenille refers to the way the fabric is woven. Small lengths of filament are bound into two or more pieces of strong yarn. The short pieces give the chenille a soft and luxurious pile. It is recommended that you have this blanket professionally cleaned. If hand or machine washed and want to machine dry, use low heat or lay flat to prevent stretching because it is a heavy material.
When my father died, he died with an expression of horror frozen on his face. His eyes bulged; a mask of stark terror twisted his visage as his final breath escaped- a deeply distressing image that haunted all of us who witnessed his passage. My stepmother instantly succumbed to a wrenching fear that something awful had just happened to her beloved husband on the Other Side and that he was now trapped in a terrible place, for eternity. She was inconsolably distraught.
