Chenille blankets are made from rayon, cotton, acrylic and a number of other materials. Chenille refers to the way the fabric is woven. Small lengths of filament are bound into two or more pieces of strong yarn. The short pieces give the chenille a soft and luxurious pile. It is recommended that you have this blanket professionally cleaned. If hand or machine washed and want to machine dry, use low heat or lay flat to prevent stretching because it is a heavy material.
Cashmere blankets are derived from the wool of domesticated cashmere goats. The wool is especially soft and is a light weight downy fabric. Cashmere blankets will keep you very warm but require special care. It is recommended that you have them professionally cleaned. This blanket is very luxurious and can be worth the time and care you put into it, and is on the high side as far as cost.
A duvet is a form of comforter usually filled with feathers, but can also be fiber filled. A duvet can be thicker than most blankets and can be used instead of a blanket. A duvet will usually come with a cover which can add to the cost. This cover is recommended because it can be removed and washed on a weekly basis with your bed sheets. These covers are available in many colors and designs to match the décor of your bedroom.

Yet the looming sense of loss and finality that fills the heart and mind as death approaches can precipitate either great healing or emotionally devastating results. Death becomes the Master Teacher during such deeply transformational times. And so it was for my family...
Usually made of a lightweight and eco-friendly material such as organic cotton, fleece, flannel, muslin and bamboo, receiving blankets have either a square or rectangular shape and are mostly used in hospitals. Being quite thin, they can also be layered with other kinds of blanket. Needless to say, these all-purpose blankets are a staple in a newborn`s world.
